I apologize if already answered somewhere,
I tried searching and got results that did NOT help or nothing or timeouts. If there is already a thread, please let me know the link or exact search criteria to find it. I appreciate that.

I tried making a new gesture, following the Note cards in the forum and something from the knolwedge base.

chat Laugh Start
start Laugh animation
wait 1 second
stop laugh animation
chat Laugh Done

Preview, it works.
Set active.
Save it.
It appears in the Gesture list (ctrl+G)

In my inventory, the name is NOT what I set when editting.
When I try to play it with the trigger or the shortcut or from the CtrlG gesture window, does not work.

So I open it to preview again, and the script is all messed up. The animations are 0 or 2 or something, the stop occurs before the start, the wait is gone.

Kind of disappointing.

I'm pretty sure I read on one of the forums, on on the Linden blog, that Gestures are broken. At least to the extent that trying to Edit them simply destroys them.

This bug appears to have been introduced with one of the recent updates and has not been fixed yet.

Thanks for the info Regan. I'll go about learning something else for now then.

I think this bug is fixed in the next update that is currently on the beta grid. So like, one down, twenty million to go.
