Teleport issues

Can anyone help me... PLEASE!

I have been unable to teleport since the upgrade. Not to landmarks, through the map or search, or via friends. I just uninstalled and reinstalled SL and it still hasn't helped. The only way I can get anywhere is by logging off and setting the area as my entry point to log in again.

I'm getting desperate :(

Thanks for any help.

Try this: Log out. Got to the login screen, preferences, network. Press clear cache. Exit out of program. Load back up, then go preferences again, this time to General and change your login location to Ahern. See if you can teleport after that, and if so, reset your starting location to either your home or last location.

If you log in to your home and are still unable to teleport, see if you can get a Linden on the Live Help to see if maybe your home sim doesn't need a restart. And also check that you have the most recent video drivers. For some reason, those drivers are linked to some of the weirdest glitches, such as being unable to upload...

I noticed a new article in the knowledge base yesterday about teleport issues. It seems that an overly-protective firewall can affect teleporting. I didn't pay much attention as I don't have the problem, but you might want to check into that too if the other suggestions don't work.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try both your suggestions. The knowledge base article is particularly interesting.

If I get nowhere, I'll certainly go and chat with one of the Lindens :)
