Transparent Skirts

OK, I've read about the disappearing skirts, but I have another problem. Some of my flex-skirts have gone semi-transparent. They attach fine, but are just see-through. This has happened to some I've bought recently, and also some I've had in inventory for ages.
Is it just me? Thank heavens for glitch pants, or a girl could be really embarassed.

Mine are ok, I keep getting textures go manky on me! Try going into appearance, changing to another skirt or trousers or whatever while in appearance & then back to the skirt you were wearing & then coming out. That fixes my clothes, I have no idea if it'll help you though. Rebaking textures might too, Advanced tab, Character, Rebake Textures.

I'm pretty sure it's a known problem. I've had this problem before, and I know a few others who have. I think it might be connected to Windlight, not sure. With me, it seemed that in certain light it was fine, but a lot of the time the skirt panels were either totally transparent, or semi-transparent. I could see the shadow of my legs and the panels of the back of the skirt when I looked from the front.

I haven't heard of a fix for this yet, maybe reattaching would work? or even going into edit the skirt (in build mode) and come out of it?

Damn, it must be me, I spend time changing some of mine to semi-transparent. It would be so much easier if I had your problem!

Sounds like the flexi skirt may use some transparency somewhere in them. If you are standing near water, or other transparent or semi-transparent textures they may "Fight" being rendered in the wrong order.

You're kidding me. Wow!! That makes me very happy.

The skirt problem here, however, sounds like we're talking about the flexi skirts. I've noticed that for some odd reason, a few skirt makers make the inner surface of each panel a transparent texture. This makes no sense, but I have seen it done.

It may not be the reason why but I can think why they *might* do it. If the flexi panel is made of a section of cylinder which has thickness, thicker than they might want, they could'nt make it look thinner by making the inner surface and underside transparent.

I've seen some pretty thick and chunky panels. No idea if this is why?

day before yesterday a girl avatar wearing a sheer skirt had webpage text on it..

Did they fix that to or is that something just I see?
