Is it too much to ask for a pop up memo in conjunction with blog alerts?

Once again, I lost 3 no copy items that I just bought as I was trying to unpack them from my inventory after failure to rez issues. Luckily, their value totalled under 200L. Upon relogging, I see a new blog post warning that there are issues at hand tonight. Sure, this is great for those just logging in... if they happen to notice it, but I'm sure many of you are like me and once you log in, it could be hours before you relog and see a blog warning.

I think it would benefit many and prevent a great amount of loss if we could get an in world message at the same time the blog post is being made about things like this which involve inventory loss. Tonight was just an annoyance for me, but if it had been something valuable, I'd have been steaming. :/
