Help, my avatar has been flooded with Black Hat notecards reading BUZZ, landmarks for welcome areas and requests by Gabby Jie to animate my avatar. I couldn't delete them all and logged out. Got blasted again logging in.

I tried searching but can't find anything about it.
Please can anyone help?

Try muting the person and see if that helps some. Or if it at least allows you to function long enough to get on Help Request. *winces* You have my sympathy though.

I'd try logging in at Sandbox Newcomb, a no-scripting sim. Then detach all attachments and HUDs. Muting the person is good too.

You can set you login location before you enter SL. If you don't get a choice of login location on you login screen, click the preferences button and on the General tab the second item from the top is a checkbox for "Show Start Location"

You can mute the person from their profile, assuming you can use the search dialog, people tab, to find the person's profile.

Someone suggested clearing cache <duh> in a panic I hadn't thought of it. I have 1000+ items to clear from inventory and AR Help requests to file, but thanx guys.

Going into busy mode helps as that routes it all to the trash HTH

What search terms did you use to find it in the knowledgebase? "Notecard Spam"? maybe?

Now just for fun... yep.... putting "notecard spam "second life" " into Google produces that knowledgebase link as the first result.

Knowledgebase is good, Google can sometimes find things in the knowledgebase that it's own search doesn't.
