Recently after a fly between sims, I have experienced what I call hairy-boot-butt where your hair and shoes end up attaching to your posterior. Anybody else have this happening and I always take a photo of it just because it is a sight to behold and then laugh at later... re-log fixes the observed boggle.

it's a glitch in the current viewer. Usually happens when you cross a sim boundry. All your prim attachments decide they are supposed to be attached to your crotch.

Think you looked silly? Try it when wearing a prim-heavy Furry avatar, and your HEAD ends up down there, as well! LOL

Thanks for the info, we have an open bug on this:

Attachments sometimes move to the centre of the body after region cross/teleport

Just wanted to let you know.

Torley, this isn't just on sim border, I was getting it last night when trying to change my shoes in my home sim. For a long time, to my friend, my wig was laying on the floor, and to me, my shoes were attaching to my booty.

Incidentally, I do believe that packet loss plays a role in this defect. On the occasions that this has happened to me, I also usually experienced a disconnect from the server (red mini-map) within a few minutes after my attachments went wacky. So possibly this is related to packet loss, which is still at horriffic levels in almost every sim I go to lately. *sigh*

I thought I was the only one. I've been wearing my fur yeti boots alot thru the holidays and often wind up looking like I'm badly in need of a good waxing! GAWD!!! LMAO!

I'm still hoping this hits me — I'm packet-loss AND attachment-loaded, but haven't come across it yet... wonder why.

I've only had this happen to me once, so I can't say for sure what triggers it. But if it were related to packet loss or disconnects, I would think it would happen to me a lot more, since I have to relog about every 15-20 min because of all the packet loss/TP issues I experience daily.

I can say for me the one time it happened was immediately after a Teleport.

Yes, I"m routinely wearing my hair, shoes and jewelry on my butt now. And here I was sure you could only get one object on an attachment point.
It was very funny .. getting a bit old now

Actually, I wasn't displaying any packet loss at the time and my sim is pretty lag free.

Question... for those this has happened to, has it been in the air at all (or only)?

I've experienced that also, but my attachments hover about my waist or Boobs. Everyone else sees me as Normal, so, All i do is detach, then reattach, and everything is Fine in my View as well.

So I'm *not* going crazy. Yesterday, on my own land sort of but not really that close to a sim border I ended up with a fox head firmly planted in my groin. And it would not detatch! Even though no one was around (I had no idea if others could see this) I was embarrassed enough to log off. When I logged back on the head was gone but one of my shoes had become unattached and was a few steps away from me.

Combined with the giant spectre rotating through my sim and three other nearby sims I was sure Linden Labs had some sort of ghost in the machines!

I haven't encountered any of this but I do experience other weridness the last month since or more since I joined.
Objects where the names of owners and name disappears.
Not be able to teleport like yesterday was trying to teleport up to someone's shoe section.
Being offline but still having world up but being able to do limited things not knowing I am offline which has happen over 6 times now.
