ive seen where you buy items and your given a folder instead of a boxed object
how is this done?

also how are boxed objects that unpack to your inventory in their own folder done plz

last question
is there anyway of moving folders from your inventory into objects for storage so you can still keep organised folders in their own folders?
I design clothing and I want to keep my outfits in their own folders but i dont want them in my inventory.

Open your inventory and get the objects you want to give in view.

Click build, click inworld on the ground, give the box a sensible name for the folder you want to give to have, something other than "Object", and click on the contents tab in the object editor.

Drag the desired items from the inventory window into the contents folder.

Take the stuffed box or take a copy into your inventory to take out later.

The "right click and select open" behavior is built into the system.

for me when I sell clothes I set the object to sell contents and that causes a folder named the same as the object name that holds the items to appear in the inventory with the items purchased in the folder

no need for a script that way

(works for me) just make sure the items are the actual items and not boxed up inside the object that is selling them.

You can store things in objects, but you can't put folders in there - so everything is in a big heap :-D

would be nice if we could put folders in objects.
I do like the sell contents feature though as it creats a folder when you buy the item/items and puts them in that folder. I hate having to unpack stuff. Not all store owners have their land with the build function enabled so therefore I have to run off elsewhere and unpack the box by sitting it on the ground in an area where it allows build then remove the contents. I do not know of any other way to unpack an item. If someone does please let me know heh

So yeah having stuff whenyou buy it be already unpacked and in a folder that all you have to do is move, is very handy

Have you tried to wear the box, then right-click on it, select Edit, More, and Contents?
