I logged into world tonight several times, did the re-boot PC thing, re-started internet router etc etc etc and I STILL can't move my avatar around at all. Have the controls changed or is this just another Laggy Linden problem today? Also the reason I logged in was to give a mate access to use my house on MY land and all the tabs are greyed out on my land options as if it no longer belongs to me. I did notice my invent was taking aeons to load so I am wondering if maybe the tabs on the land options will eventually pop up so that I can add my mate to access to my land?

I don't have the time or patience to sit around at my PC for an hour in the hope that it will eventually "right" itself and I will be able to move/TP etc and modify MY land. No wonder I stopped playing in this world - sitting here waiting is causing my BP to go through the roof.........time to cancel the premium account BS if this shoddy standard remains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.............Thanks.

That's not anything like the experience I have.

There are a number of things that could be affecting you, including my closest experience which was Norton (even though it had been configured) needing to be reset after every update or it caused the connection to shut down (so it looked like I was "there" but no, I wasn't connected). There are other things I think - I'm sure people will add their experiences.

I did check your profile and if it's the land listed there, then it is still yours, Caramia, if that's any consolation, but it allows access only to your friend in your profile. So, if you are teleporting via the link in your profile, you wind up next door. (Sorry to get so personal, but I wanted to see if it was the sim you were in. Sometimes the sim can create a wonky issue too.)

If you wind up next door, you won't be able to change that land property. I don't know if you will wind up next door, because the bug that keeps the owner from their own land if access is restricted to only one person doesn't seem to always happen.

And yeah, the inventory loading eats the bandwidth, which might also affect your movement. But as Osprey suggested, check your anti-virus and possibly any firewalls you might have.

The sim's performance didn't seem too bad for me, so it might not be that after all.
