Hi All
When I logged in the other night I had the prompt to download the new version 1.14.0.0 so I did.....
Then each time I tried to connect it wouldn't allow me saying something about the host - can't remember the message....sorry
Anyway I then re-installed the old version and it all worked fine again.
Did anyone else have this problem and do you know if it has been resolved?

The Official Linden blog has provided the details of problems that are plaguing residents with certain computer configurations. Check that out to see if you fall in that category. And be sure to file a bug report so they can clear these problems up.
Remember, unless we make VERY CLEAR that residents are having problems, the new viewer will become mandatory soon. Only by filing bug reports can LL get a clear idea of just how many people can't use the new viewer, and this could help extend the transition period.

There are issues with the new viewer for a lot of people. There are a lot of posts about both here and on the Blog. Just a suggestion:When referencing n error message in your post, posting the message would help in assisting you.

Yes normally I would post the whole message but I am away from my usual computer and so cannot access SL on this one and couldn't remember the message of the top of my head *blush*!

From the blog, it's definitely affecting those with X300 cards.. which is why I haven't updated yet. Kinda odd that 1.14 is causing this, but the First Look viewer wasn't doing it to me and both comps that run SL are using the X300 cards.
*shrugs* I'm not going to look the gift horse in the mouth. After all, I could run Windows ME for a couple of years without ever reinstalling...

I THINK. the X300 issue is more geared to laptops, at least I hope so. You know I never had any problems with WinMe as well. I ran it for 5 years. If the machine it was on hadn't self destructed, I might still be using it.
