Having trouble buying linden $

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to SL and have spent about half of my initial l$250. I have seen something I *really* want to buy, but every time I try to buy L$ my L$ on hand never increases... is there any reason for this? I have now got a CC on file with them and I have registered my paypal details also... Is it because I'm a newbie and on the basic (free) account? Do I need to upgrade my acct in order to buy L$?

Anyway you can be a free account and buy L$ anytime, as long as you have a valid credit card on file.

There's a bug where sometimes when you buy L$ the balance doesn't refresh. You do in fact have your L$; it's just that the Second Life program isn't displaying them, because it hasn't gotten the message from the server that your balance is different from the one it has stored.

The usual solution is to either log in and log out, or to somehow change your balance by activity in world (for example, pay L$1 to someone, get paid L$1, pay it to a vendor and get it back as a wrong payment, etc..).
