Will you be the owner of the cheapest sim won on auction since Anshe stopped buying? |

Maybe there's something to be learned by the fact that the most famous SL millionaire (on paper) is not buying sims for $1900 USD. That's not cheap, in any century. I say, wait on buying land, invest in spork bellies.
Here's my (humble) theory on why Linden Lab is trying to get the sim prices way down: If land prices fall to L$6-8 m2, maybe there won't be as big an uproar when LL raises the Mainland tier to the island tier of $295. |

In reality, I was paid by a coalition of evil land barons to make this post to drive up prices.
BTW, the next 16 sims are looking REALLY cheap... _____________________

Yes I have been waiting for them to drop that bomb on us, however I do not see it being as steep of an increase. |

Yes I have been waiting for them to drop that bomb on us, however I do not see it being as steep of an increase. The justification they used for increasing the island tier was that islands are worth more than mainland - they would have to go back on that if they increased mainland tier without giving us e.g. estate tools. Of course, they went back on their promise to give an answer to any feature request with more than 500 votes... _____________________

Heh heh - I know you were joking, but it looks like a familiar name was involved in one of todays auctions... The rest of them - a few familiar names, a few smaller players look to be stepping up into the auctions, and a few more unknowns (and not just JR) chancing their hand. And they may not have been the cheapest since Anshe quit mainland, but I got the 2 cheapest mature ones. Yay me ![]() _____________________

At the time, Zee stated that an increase in mainland tier might also happen and would be considered over the next 3-6 months and larger tiers would increase more (relatively) than the lower tiers. There was never any promise to keep mainland tier at the current rates. Yes, but my point was merely that they would have to go back on their justification for the original island increases. I certainly never intended to give the impression that I think mainland tier will never increase. _____________________
