I just created my first pair of eyes. I created the texture in Photoshop, imported it into SL, applied it in Appearance, and saved it out... cool.
But, here's my problem.
When I saved the "look" I essentially overwrote the existing eyes. If I go to properties, the old creator is still credited. Plus the privileges were grayed out.
So I went to a pair of eyes in my Library and applied my texture to them. Now I have all the privileges, but the creator is newbie_template Linden.
Is there a resource for templates (other parts as well as eyes) that will allow me to be the creator as well as the owner?

Yes, just open or create the folder in which you wish to keep the new eyes, right click and chhose new body parts, scroll down to eyes and click. Done. You're the creator and you have full perms. Double click or right click and wear. Go into Edit appearance, click eyes and drag your texture to the window. Save and name as you see fit.

Follow-up...
Because my eyes are sooo good-looking, how does one create the boxed package that people typically sell?
Any resource you can recommend for me to look up?
Finally, once the package is completed, if you don't have a store, do you just find a seller and convince them to carry your product? What percentage of sales should they expect?

From: Alvaro Zapatero Thanks Pixieplumb!
I'm probably the last person on Earth to know that! No you're not............I've been in SL for over 4 years (close to 4 1/2). I've been creating clothes for nearly 3 years and knew exactly how to make them as me as the creater and how to limit or unlimit permissions........even how to set "anyone can take a copy". But when making my first skin about 6 months ago I had the same issue at you..........until someone here told me how. The how for a new skin is exactly the same how for eyes.

Contact me in world, you can have a store at the Monkey Mall. It's free, no rent no commission - I'll help you get set up - the easiest way to sell is single prim set for sale as contents. Your customers get a tidy folder with their purchase and a landmark etc in it. You'll need some pictures to go on the box, but that's all really, to start with.

Just make a prim, design the look and set it for sale! The easiest answers are sometimes the hardest for me to grasp. Thank you!
