Scripting real Hollywood style vampire effects

Okay, another noob question. I was the guy asking about water balloon scripts earlier, thanks for all your assistance.

A friend and I bumped into a "vampire sim" last night and we had some fun doing some RPG style activities with them (flashing a cross, etc.)... but as we all know, these are regular AVIs playacting, they have to cooperate with the idea of "vampire hunting" per se.

It occured to me .. I wonder if you could take the idea a little farther?

Here's an idea-- a Hollywood Vampire Effect attachment of some sort.

The person who is the vampire attaches it somewhere.

When wearing it, certain weapons (stakes, holy water, crosses) set off an animation when they interact with the person wearing the attachment:

1) if a stake, and the stake "hits" in melee, the vampire is teleported home and replaced with an animation effect of a corpse mouldering away to nothing.

2) if holy water, the "vampire" has animated smoke attached to him/her for a while, simulating the burns form the water.

and 3) If "cross" the "vampire" is animated backward, cowering...

Of course, the vampire hunting stuff would have to be keyed directly to the object the vampire is wearing.

I was inspired when some of us were playing with "something" that you wear to allow a weapon to "kill" you in SL. Seems to me that bits of this idea are already in existence in SL:

1) the "Lethal" script allowing you to hurt or kill someone with weapons.
2) the "teleport home" script used by some security scripts..
3) the effect that makes an object disappear after a bit was mentioned when I asked about water balloons..

What do you think? Could I put all this together? I would love to have a real vampire hunting sim where the vampires AND the hunters had an even shot...

Good idea, I did similar work in Interactive scripted props in creating a Poisonous Insect, and antidote for the Poison. If you do the groundwork, Deciding when, and how different features will interact, then all you need is a Moderately skilled Scripter to make it Real. (I suggest you look into animators as well if you do not possess the skills or software to make them your self.
