I have just been exploring the big new landmass that is opening up to the east of Corsica. What can be found so far is mostly bare rock and I found a summit that's 165 metres high. Is the SL's highest point?

That might be the highest. The mountain on the snow portion of the weather Channel's sims might be higher, or at least close.

I seem to recall encountering a mountain on the old continent that was ridiculously tall...I thought it was "flight assist" kind of tall, but may be incorrectly remembering this (was quite a while ago).
For the life of me, I can't recall the sim it was in...found it by random Stargate hopping...

So your final Nimbus Score is a grand total of 8.55. A magnificent achievement!

Perhaps Mount G'al. I'm not sure of the height of it.

There is a big one in/near Cortina - sorry don't know how high though. I'll have to go check. :)

--Just took a look - it's called Pike's Peak and is over 280 m - didn't get right to the top.

The highest one I know of is in Cloadmount a snow sim that is all Linden owned. It is about 210 meters.

Mount G'al (in Mahulu) tops out at 167m at its highest point. The Pomponio Volcano, in Pomponio, tops out around 100m

Definitely! I had fun going there and to the Pomponio Volcano today.

I just checked, and the peack at Epic Conditions Ski is 237m

Tethys, 345

And it is Land, not a Prim mountain.

Thanks for the tip. Found a great place to make legitimate S and E base jumps! :)

The ridge in Campion in the Hetercera Atoll continent goes up to 365m. That's the highest point I've ever found on the mainland. However, it's privately owned and surrounded by banlines. So don't expect much if you go visit.

Pity, 365m above sea level is pretty weak tea even here in the UK. On the continent or the US, I'd think it's a mere hillock. Let there be mountains... Alps, Himalayas or at least Pennines.

There could be a Everest, K2 sims with exact scale replicas of the mountains. Make them just barely climable using gear--no fly zone of course and lots of snow.

Are there any Mt. Everesst K2 MMO's available?

Ah, so my 'discovery' was a mere pimple compared to 345m! Thanks for the replies.
Since it's not possible to build above 768m, I wonder if land can be terraformed beyond there. I don't think I'm the person to try the experiment - too busy doing other things.

Build above 768m? Go visit Privateer Space and go up. better have a flight assist.

Isn't it the case that you can't rez stuff above 768m but you can push stuff up beyond that height once it's been rezzed, though that didn't work when I tried it.
On Beta Grid Havoc4 they allow a build height of 1024m - presumably that will come to main grid at some stage.

I believe so. I know Privateer Space has content up over 4000m.
