Has anyone else noticed that scripted items seem to be working on an intermittent basis or not at all? Is this a symptom of SL being borked or what.
For example, my partner purchased a lovely choker for me and then the scripts and contents of an Amethyst collar. I put the scripts in and they worked fine for about a week with a bit of a rough patch getting them to start working at first. Then I removed the contents to put them into a second choker. At this point, they stopped functioning all together.
I have a pair of scripted wings that do not always work properly unless i remove and reattach them.
I have curtains in my home with a touch script. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
These aren't all from the same scripter so I can't think it's an error in the scripting necessarily that's the culprit although all of these objects must have an on touch function to operate.
I've tried resetting all of the scripts in the objects, tried removing and replacing, but there seems to be no reliable way to get scripted objects to work reliably.
Any thoughts?

SL is borked. Scripts are run server side and may or may not run depending what LL is currently 'Banging On'. It has been pretty bad since Sunday. I would suggest to refrain from skydiving presently.

Well, scripts aren't always written to be very reliable. There was a period about a year ago where Amethyst collars were pretty unstable. They crashed a lot, and sometimes required a replacement to fix. I haven't had any problems with them in quite some time though, so they appear to be stable. You sure you copied all the anims and whatnot that come with the scripts?
But really, some scripts simply don't have good error handling, and rely on you to restart them (if you're lucky enough to own a moddable object).
Other than products that rely on LSL email functions to work (like Jevn vendors), I've not noticed any rise in broken scripted items.

I think something in the latest update has definitely messed up the scripting language, Delilah, but I'm so ignorant of scripting I couldn't tell you what it is.
I have an expensive set of "naughty bits" that worked once, and hasn't worked since.
A scripted hoversub I bought worked once, and now refuses to fly.
My HUDDLES device often locks up, or loses all the labels on its keys.
The only common factor I can see in all these is that the devices all have a HUD display that talks to another object or to the avatar.
I'd submit a JIRA, but on the theory that the makers of these things know more about how they work than I do, I've simply resorted to contacting them individually.

There IS a known problem with HUD objects not rezzing completely, especially on Macintoshes.
