Loads of people are getting the automated emails telling them to update CC etc. However I never received one of these in the same way most have and assumed my details were ok. I processed credit to my paypal account on Tuesday and got an email from Dan Linden 3 days later telling me that my request was denied and to update my CC details and to try again. This is no big deal, only lost 3 days waiting, however if you have not updated your CC details in the last month it may be an idea to do so before processing credit to avoid having your request denied and incurring extra waiting time.

Just sell your lindens on SLExchange and bypass SL. Trust me, it makes life more easy.

From: VooDoo Bamboo Just sell your lindens on SLExchange and bypass SL. Trust me, it makes life more easy. Last time i went on slex to check this out... I would be getting less US dollar per linden dollars, then i would by exchanging on lindex. The other day i noticed per trade on Lindenx, LL takes about 30-40 USD from my trade. What percentage does slex take? Though you get less US dollar for lindens...does it turn out you get back more USD by trading on slex then if you were to use lindex?

From: someone The Currency Exchange does not charge commissions in the traditional way. Instead, we have "spread pricing" where buy and sell orders are filled at different prices. The benefit to traders is that you get what you see. There is no need to calculate commissions to determine if you made a profit.
All trades: 45 pip spread
* 1 pip equals 0.1 Linden Dollar per US Dollar. At competetive market prices, this makes the SL Exchange proceeds about 1.5% of each transaction. * Click here for more information about spread pricing. Does this answer your question, cuz I'm not awake enough to figure it out myself?

I thought it was a more general "update your payment information" message?

You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.
Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Though you get less US dollar for lindens...does it turn out you get back more USD by trading on slex then if you were to use lindex? If you sell L$ on the LindeX for L$265/1 you get the L$274.61/1 after the 3.5% comossion. If you sell L$ on the Slex for L$273/1 using a limit sell order you will get L$273/1 since the buyer pays the pip. Net effect you will get more USD currently selling L$ on the Slex than on the LindeX.

but this stuff is always a huge blur to me i never understand it. not to mention i failed math class twice. no good at it at all Looking at the market data, LL does a 10 point spread rather than a 45.. and charges a 0.30 fixed for buying but a 3.5% of the transaction for selling. If SLEx's is correct, theirs winds up a rough 1.5% of each transaction, which is great if you are selling. Buying, you'd take a bigger hit, but... you run a lot less risk of 'payment denied,' get your money faster and every time I've emailed them concerning the market place, they've been handled in a timely and helpful manner. I think if I ever get enough L to sell that is over my tier and premium, I'm going to use SLExchange myself from now on.
