i cant for the life of me, get my music to work on an island i rent.
ive done everything i can think of:
i have permission in the group to control music
ive used a tested and working URL in the media section for my land, actully several working URLs.
ive tryed repressing stop and play on the music tab on my hud. and thats where the prob is, people who come on my land, they cant make the play button stay on. My great land lords came and tryed helping and we got music to go somehow, but when i relogged, nothing again. any suggestions?

I noticed that some of the URLs I use can change from one day to the next. Even though you've tested the URLs, you might want to go back to the source and make sure the URLs are the same. I had this actually happen.

I also seem to have media problems when I forget to hit the play button. But, I'm wee todd it like that sometimes.

Hope you get it sorted.

I'm having similar problems with music in SL. I usually only listen to 3 stations when at home on my rental property, and though my music player shows the right url's when I try to listen to them, they aren't the correct stations. My kind landlord attempted to help me with the problem, and he said everything worked properly for him. So it would seem that the problem is client-side, and user-specific.

One thing that occured to me is that I started having the problem about the same time I installed iTunes. Could iTunes and Quicktime be having some conflict? I know that sounds absurd as they both come from the same developer, but stranger things have happened. I just don't want to go through uninstalling iTunes only to find that it wasn't the problem, then have to go through reinstallation again.
