Since last night, I've felt like a mushroom. Kept in the dark, fed bad things, and unable to voice an opinion. The blog comments are turned off...not good. Not good because people need to vent in some form or fashion. It's basically the Lindens saying to us residents to "sit down, shut up, take what little we give you and like it. We don't care what you have to say about (insert Blog post here), we don't want to hear it." Ever since the Forums have been basically shut down, no one has a way of voicing an effective (operative word) opinion; whether good, bad, or indifferent...and truthfully, the blog doesn't do justice...not with 1.5 million residents. And now, that venue has been cut off for comments on such things as the grid going down. To me, that's a slap in the face. And if I feel that way, imagine what others are feeling as well. Those that have no voice at all, or even read the forums because they are unverified accounts; no payment info. They cannot even get on the forums. They may take thier opinions and move on to a different "game, environment" without saying a word...just pull roots, take thier money, and go. All because they have the impression of being looked down upon. How would like it if you walked into a Wal-Mart, asked a cashier where the bathroom was, and was told that it was for Employee's only. Question is, what can we do about it?

Lynch Mob or not, it doesn't justify blanking out everyone's voice. Linden Lab provides a service to customers, and so are they are the professionals; and so are in a position of autority in a "world" environment. To cut everyone off like so is not only giving the impression of exerting thier overpowering authority over us poor residents; but is very unprofessional in it's execution.
This is what I object to.

I prefer to think it as 'justifiably upset' rather than 'lynch mob'.
After all, those who pay to play are making a tangiable investment in the future of SL, and as such we have an expectation as to a level of service, and an entitlement to state our feelings.
I would question how much 'entitlement to service' that unpaying accounts have, however.

Lewis you can't be "justifiably" when emotions and panic makes you think with your ass

Really no need to sink to personal attacks; as a content creator I would have thought that you would understand the risk of content theft.
Maybe your stuff is just too specialist to be of interest to the vast majority of people though.

I believe Kyrah was refering to the collective "you", not you specifically.
Coco is correct, this is the wrong forum for such a discussion. It doesn't fit within the rules of this forum. This sort of thing is best discussed on third party forums (or in a cleverly guised feature suggestion).
