Amethyst Collar : problem creating Owner etc

Hi,

Have tried countless times trying to set up Owner for collar on (wiling!) submissive to allow Owner to control submissive, but to date no luck.

The logical step of selecting/create new owner does not seem to work with the collar on submissive and it keeps saying there is no current owner and can't seem to find an owner to add (if u see what I mean).

Could anyone post an idiots guide as to how to set it up, please?

Get your victim to wear the collar, then have them say (without the quotes)

".owner Dave Centaur"

The previous poster is correct for the command syntax. Only the wearer of the Amethyst collar may set the primary or seconcdary owners. The person they want as their primary owner or as a secondary owner MUST be within chat range at the time the command is given, for it to work.

It is advisable for the wearer to set themselves as their own secondary owner, as this gives them access to a number of useful features, such as being able to give kisses or hugs, and being able to self-activate any of the collar's poses, such as a relaxed sitting position on the ground.

".secowner Firstname Lastname" , without the quotes, and substituting the wearer's name for the "Firstname Lastname" part, will set the wearer as their own secondary owner. You do not need to set the primary owner of the collar before you set one or more secondary owners.

You DON'T need secowner to access poses, hugs etc.

The only thing I think secowner allows is for you to release yourself from a pose your dom(me) has put you in if they crash.. however I'm not entirely sure this does work..

I'll take your word for it on that. I very rarely actually wear one myself. In fact, I've only worn one to get the wearer notecard, and to test operations, so I could instruct my Pets in the use of their collars and cuffs. But all my Pets wear Amethyst collars, and they love them. *grins*

I instruct all my Pets to set themselves as their own secondary owner, because it does give them more control over what they can command the collar to do to/for them. I don't have the notecards for the collar wearer and for the secondary owner in front of me, so I can't list the exact benefits.

There is also an Amethyst and Sensations Products Group.. where technical support questions like this can be asked and answered.. ususally within minutes, by Amethyst herself.

I ONLY use the Amathyst Collars and Scripts.
Ninjafoo has it right, the Slave has to wear the Collar, then set the Owner(s).

I would like to just add here for anyone reading in the future, that when you specific the owners name, MAKE SURE that you match the _case_ correctly. So the first letter of the first and last names MUST be uppercase.

Yes. If someone already has a Primary, then only they can give the command to add a Secondary. Yes, this means that all three people have to be present at once.

I think it would be better if you contact the CREATOR of the collar and not spam the forums.

I dunno - we get people who complain if a post in this forum isn't a question, and now we get someone complaining because a post IS a question ...

A few other Ammy tidbits.

If the Primary owner places the sub/pet in a pose or animation, only they can end said pose or animation. Secondary owners cannot. It is best for the subbie/pet to be made a secondary owner so they can do things such as chage their collar color, start and stop poses, etc.
