Hello everyone,

I am creating new shapes and skins with the purpose of selling them in my new shop...I took a look around and visited many shops that sell this kind of items..all of them are selling items that are(no copy, no modify and no transfer), I havent realized yet how this is possible as I cannot make objects denying all permissions...I need to allow at least 1 of them, my objects can be copyable and not modifiable nor transferrable, or transfer/resell but not copy or mod....how can I deny all permissions? is this possible or there is something I dont know?
thank you

I can't figure this out either, it always defaults to give away/resell.

any ONE item has to be either transfer or copy.

The way to make a prim based item apear to have no permissions is to put contents inside it that are the opposite permission of the Prim.

For example you have a NO MOD, NO COPY, TRANSFER bracelet

Stick a No MODY, COPY, NO TRANSFER script or piece of clothing in one of the non important looking prims.

Then the bracelet will apear and function as having no permissions.

Unless soemone hunts, finds and removes what you added.

I suppose if you had a script that needed the script with the alternate permissions you could make your object "BREAK" when they removed it.

Thank you :) That makes sense to me now.

Why do this? If you're selling shapes just make them copy; it's not like customers will want to buy lots of copies of the same shapes. That way people can organize their inventories better by copying the shapes to their different avatars, if they use folders. Same for skins.

I think the angle the OP is coming from is that they've looked at other people who sell skins and shapes and they have their permissions set that way.

I guess it might be different for guys, but I can't imagine having a shape that can't be modified.

If it turns out your head isn't quite the same shape as your favourite hair designer's, adjusting the head is far less work than adjusting every hair you'll ever buy.

My prim nails require a specific hand size in order to work.

I have an adjusted shape for "system skirts" to remove the obvious padding they cause, in addition to two other varieties to make prim skirts fit better (same reason as the hair).

If you need anything fitted the designer would ask you for the relevant measurements which you wouldn't be able to give.

Surprizingly for human avatar shapes they were all Sold no Mod until July of 05. And were very expensive 800 and 1500-2000 each.

Needless to saw very few people bought their shapes.

Selling a shape Mod is kind of like selling textures - you have to trust the buyers intent and the overall goodwill of the community - becuase the numbers on a Mod shape are visible.

Of course when someone decided to sell Shapes MOD/COPY it helped the whole industry to take off and it went from 2 sellers then- to well over a hundred now, with much more reasonable prices.

Of course - Furries sold mod shapes already as part of their avatars and those dated way back.
