Er...what's with Lindens taking 16ths?

Has anyone else experienced owning a 16ths to return to it later to find it is now owned by Gov Linden? With no money exchanged. The first time I ignored it, but its happened again.

Thoughts welcome

Is your land group owned? If so, check how many people are in the group.
With only one person in a group, the group will be disbanded and any land owned by the group will be abandoned.

No idea then. Probably best to get in touch with them and see if there's any official reason for it. If not, file a bug report and raise merry hell in the forums :)

And nothing potentially objectionable in the parcel description?

Did you recently buy or split up this land?

Is this a 16th (4096sqm) or 16sqm?

You have been paying your tier on it?

Do you also make sure you have auto return on if you don't visit it much? Maybe it has been used as a dumping ground for others and/or griefing scripts.

i know this may sound too goody goody - but yes i have auto return, yes I have been paying tier money. I have no probs with my other land which I own a fair bit of. My nearby plots are not affected. And it is a 16th sqm - not a lot I know but all the same I paid good Linden dollars for both plots and have nothing in return.

...it is a 16th sqm...
LOL. Sorry, I'm lost here.

Is it:

A. 16th of a sim?

B. 16 square meters?

C. 16th of a square meter?

I'm guessing that the governor is going to be taking away all the 16sqm plots and we're going to see the minimum size change to something larger like 512sqm. Just guessing though.

They may change the rules around sometimes but they usually mention it. I really don't think they've just decided to start confiscating 16m2 parcels..

If you owned the land, they can't confiscate it, unless it belonged to a group that disbanded or you stopped paying your tier or the contribution amounts from your group went below the amount of land you owned. Contact support and see if they will give what is yours back to you.

EDIT: I see you said it is not group land. So if your land use fees and premium account fees are current, they owe you that land. The only other thing I can think of is it's a plot you thought was yours but did not actually own.

I'm sorry you lost your 16sq m of land. But there are a lot of that size plots in world with silly prices attached to them. If LL are going to remove them all, the least they could do is tell you in advance.
