So I was just in world with a friend and she did not show online for me on my friends list but she was definately there. Is there some kind of glitch going on that has never happened to me before.

Well it is Saturday.  Another possibility is that your friend may have set it so that you can't see her online status. |

The friends list can be pretty unreliable though, it wouldn't be unusual for someone to appear offline when they're on.

Yeap, nothing unusual about the friends list being bonked, it's been that way since at least 1.9.0, plus with the newer privacy settings you really cannot be sure.

I had this happen to me yesterday and a few times before in the past. My entire friends list will not show anyone online and even if some of my friends are standing right in front of me. Relogging will fix it right away every time, for me anyways.
