The problem started after standing up from a sitting position in-world. I started zooming up up up. Like all the way up. Like up to 5000+ meters. I logged, but the same thing happened when I logged back in. Then I turned flying ON and was able to fly down, but as soon as I hit the ground, I walked a step or two and then right back up up up. Important to note that while I'm going up, flying is absolutely disabled so, no, I'm not flying. I just can't stay on the ground.
To say that this inhibits my ability to enjoy the game is an understatement. Is anyone having this problem too? Any advice to help me stay grounded?

Sometimes when that happens, either the sim needs to be reset, or you are wearing an borked attachment. I have experienced both situations. First, see if you lose gravity in a neighboring sim, or if the problem only occurs in one particular sim. If it's one sim, contact Live Help, give the name of the sim and explain there is a gravity/physics problem.
If you float upwards no matter where you are, then detach everything and see if that lands you back into reality (SL-speaking of course). If that's the case, then start to attach things one-b-yone until you find what you were wearing before, that causes the no-gravity problem again.

I remembered that right before I had the problem, somone had given me a lollypop that I had attached. As soon as I detached, problem solved.
So let that be a lesson to all posters ... when Dote suggests a solution, don't ask questions, just act upon it in due course.
Thanks, Dote.

From: Samantha Goldflake Don't, don't accept lollypops, candies or whatsoever from strangers! Samantha! Are you following me young lady?!? Good advice yes, sadly so though. I've found loads of goodies like drinks, party snacks and more and when people see them and say 'hey, where did you get that?' I invariably offer them a copy. Just be careful I guess.
