How do you get rid of screamers on land not your own

Some idiot thinks it's very clever to drop a bunch of screamers - scripted boxes that make a hell of a racket - on our land and the land around. We can file an abuse report and delete or send back the screamers on our land, and the Lindens are quite happy to come and get rid of them.
However, the Lindens are refusing to get rid of the screamers on the plots next to ours, despite several complaints, even though the racket they make can still be heard on our land.
IMed the owners of the adjacent plots, but the person with the most screamers hasn't been on line since July 2 and is not responding.
Is there any way to get rid of these things from land you do not own?
BTW, the screamers were left by what I presume was a disposable account - the owner listed on the objects no longer exists.
Thanks

Go to World
About Land
Media
Check Restrict spatialized sound to this parcel.

It won't end the noise, but you won't hear it on your land.

Chas slaps himself on the head.

Thanks Chris, I'd done that, but it must have come undone - like most of my preference settings - in one of the recent updates.

I always AR on behalf of others that aren't around. Maybe it's because of Concierge level support, but LL responds pretty damn fast even when it's not on our land.

Another option is to R-Click the object, selected MORE for the pie menu then MUTE. This not only mutes the owner of the object, but also any chat spam as well as sounds created by the object ^.^

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Try again with the Lindens. At least back in the days of Live Help, if an annoying sound source could be heard on your land it would be removed. Maybe a different Linden will remove it.

I don't think that feature has been implemented yet. I know there was talk about it. Last time i muted an object there were some carefully-worded dialogs stating that the mute did not apply to audio. And, i could still the object screaming.

Hmm, there's nothing really helpful there, but thanks for pasting.

Well it USED to work lol. Gotta love the changing environment and "fixes" to features that already work fine ^.~

Thanks everyone. Screamers have been silenced, on my land at least.
Still ugly buggers though. Ands sadly, don't get Concierge level service as a mere landowner, so Lindens won't remove screamers from adjacent plots.

This worked for me

I had the same problem in a sandbox next to my store in Ever After.

I got rid of them quickly by pushing the objects in to a parcel that had auto return set.

You could give it a try.

Ah, tried pushing them - using Force Prophesies push on the name of the object - onto my own land, so I could delete them, but no movement at all.
Probably doing something wrong.
