A Question about Group Land - I have read the stickie.

Please help - Myself and a friend just bought 4 parcels of land in a nice square. 4 x 1024m, I bought 3 of them she bought 1. The plan is to start building our empire here lol

But how do we join these patches of land together, my 3 are joined and hers now needs added in. The reason we did it this way is so that we were able to get the land and not jump any tiers of land usage.

I really cant follow the group land thing and am worried I will double my tier by doing something silly

She can't sell me the land for nothing or whatever cos then I go up a tier, when i go to the group Land & $ tab it says my max is 582m or something like that.

Please advise me how to get it so we own the 4096m and can start taking over SL

Either you or her create a group. Doesn't matter which. Invite the other in as an OWNER of the group.

Go into the LAND tab of the group information and go down to the contibute section and contribute your land to the group (NOTE: Groups can own 110% of the land within a given tier level)

((NOTE: I'm a bit tired here so I can't remmber all the correct names/buttons of funtions. Please use my directions as a guide and look through everythign before doing))

Go into the ABOUT LAND options for your land and DEED the land to the group. You can't go up in tier as you're already at that tier level.

((The part I can't remmber is if you need to DEED or Contribute first. If you need to DEED first, it won't let you contribute))

Then have her do the same for her plot.

Remember, that anyone in the OFFICER role can sell land by default (or could, I think LL fixed this but check anyway), so either uncheck that group Ability or simply do not put anyone in your group in the OFFICER Role.

I'm sure that's about as clear as mudd given the poor state of my mind that is half asleep, but hopefully it may help you find your way through.

One thing I forgot to mention. The double-billing from group land comes if you decied to "tier down" or sell off the land. THAT is something that you have to watch very closely.

I do not think there has every been a problem with the grouping of the land causing a double-billing (though someone correct me if I'm wrong here). Usually the only problem with grouping it to begin with is figuring out the system to do it.
