Everytime More then 40,000 are on, Second Life Breaks

Is anybody else having insanely bad lag or is it just me, with more then 41,000 people logged on, I can barely play!

I can't say if its only you or not, but I have had very good performance in game today.

Fine here. FPS high as usual and ping is 72 msec (from Canada). Time Dilation is 1.00. and sim & physics FPS is steady at max 45 FPS.

All depends where you are.

I am conncted via Canada right now and lag is getting worse today. My avatar also looks angular and rather "2006 SL" - not smooth.

Trying to build this afternoon was a mess: prims kept moving back from where I pulled them, textures would not stay on prim sides, cuts to prims would undo themselves...some prims even called me nasty names like "sloppybot" and "casino slut" using voice chat they somehow enabled on my land. Well, okay, not that last one.

I am connected from BC, Canada and have zero problems. Also, your avatar looking angular isn't something that would be caused by your connection. Maybe only when you first log in an the textures are loading, but after that, it would be your graphics settings.

I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada and have found a remarkable LACK of lag and crashing lately. I kinda thought all those casinos closing down is helping out.

I'm in Pacific Northwest and I usually don't have many problems, but since the restart yesterday for the Voice fix, I've had constant periodic issues (I am not using Voice).

It seems to have calmed down though in the last few hours.

Probably depends more on which sims you're in, to be honest.

The Relay for Life sims are, reasonably, pretty laggy with the people turned out. My home sim has 3 people in it and is running like a charm though.

I actually live in a mainland sim (Columbia) with a large public sandbox that almost constantly has 5-25 people in it around the clock. Normally I don't have any serious issues. Even the other day when a fairly rare "rogue" builder started making replicating bullets that filled the area by the hundreds, there was not a problem.

My biggest problems yesterday were after the restart, when I was the only individual in the sim and the sandbox was completely empty. Things would not rez, things that were rezzed would vanish from sight (but reappear again later), others could not be "taken" and showed no ownership.

Well its 8:42PM SLT at the time of my posting this and SL is "broke" for me.

Same here, cannot teleport anywhere, profiles & search are broken, textures not uploading etc etc... gah this gets worse everytime they "fix" something. They just end up breaking something else.

Problem is today we are only around 32,000 online........ a far far away from 75,000 and more they the linden dreamed we be at that this stage.
