I have found that I have quite a knack for creating shapes. I have two questions:

1) How does one package and sell a shape, and

2) I'm much more interested in custom shape making. Is there any way to do this without having an avi's password? How does one tweak a shape just so without having access to "edit appearance?"

All help is appreciated!

1. Same way you package anything else really. Place a copy of the shape in a prim. Place a picture of said shape on prim. Set content of prim to sale for x amoutn of L's.

2. Most I believe make the shape themselves, and then simply give it to the costomer. One way to do that would be to make the shape No Copy/No Mod, and let them try it on, passing it back and forth as needed until they were happy, and then giving them a Copy/No Mod/ Tansfer version.

Another would be to model the shape yourself as they stand there, letting them guide you as to what they would like tweaked, flattened, widened, lessened, etc.

Of course, as far as answer number two is concerned, I'm merely speculating, as I don't sell shapes or make custom ones. However if I were to do such a a thing..that's the way I would personally go about it.

Hope that helps.

Put it in a prim - with your sign mark that prim to sell contents

you have to think what permissions you are comfortable with

Generally your going to want Mod/copy/no trans OR No Mod/no copy/trans Or No Mod/copy/no trans

Theres advantages to each. Some shape designers are leery of Mod shapes since buyers can see the numbers and potentially steal your work. Of course people prefer to buy shapes they can customize (you can blame that one on me =p).

Well if your customizing a shape they made themselves - this is easy they can just hand you their shape and you can alter it. Then change the perms and hand it back.

If your cuctomizing a shape they bought you either need to tell them what to do , or just make them a new custom shape.

Other custom work involves building a shape from photos. This is difficult - the more photos and better quality the better.

getting their PW would work of course - but seems a bad way to do business.

Anyways good luck with your store!
