Hi all,
I've been walking around in sl for two weeks now. I enjoyed learning how tom move around build and so on. But here I am now. I wonder if it's all. I miss the fun I had with FPS or with racing games and i wonder if there are such places in secondlife.
It mostly seems like the majority of secondlifers are more busy with their personal look than with interacting and also it looks like nobody is interested in gaming and shooting.
I suppose my view is partly wrong as i got the feeling i only walked 0,05% of the secondlife land.
Could you fellow residents point me in the right direction?
Thanks all for your help,
Cheers,
LowfiTron

Heya LoFiTron! Best advice I can give: Crack open search, and search on "RPG" or "Roleplay" - there'll be more results there than you'll know what to do with. SL does have a much greater social/creative component than other games. But lots of residents have put together 'games within the game' that might be more to your liking. Good luck on your search & welcome to SL!

Hey there. Go into Search, and look for "Roleplaying" and "Combat" There are a lot of places where you can find the excitement you want. Some suggestions: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Midgar/139/141/689 - FF7 RP http://slurl.com/secondlife/Diablo/59/220/23 - Full RP SIM, AD&D http://slurl.com/secondlife/Jingyo/180/137/54 - Allen Kerensky's gamespace - a place to play and to meet players. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Midge/245/18/141 - LARPA http://slurl.com/secondlife/Toxia/251/138/23 - Combat heavy Dark Futures sort of place. (Toxian City) Go to the Places tab in search, and search "Combat". Have fun! ~R

Type in any word that may interest you in search and see what comes up. You'll be surprised at what you will find.

LowfiTron There are several race tracks in SL. I've had great fun racing around Haven't gotten that far past 300 mph on the track, but I'm trying . One place is "SILVER MOTORSPORTS F1: Silver Springs/166.346/197.729" (group is NASCAR & MORE). Another good place to try is "Fairgrounds Speedway - Pontiac Raceway Park: Garage/251.946/99.0616" - though I've had some problems getting the car to work right in that sim for some reason. If you get a car - make sure it has SimCrossing ability (go to the Nissan place for a free car to see what I mean - well you would have to also test it against another free car without that SimCrossing ability to really see what I mean).

Perpetually active, regularly scheduled sailboat races and classes in the Second Life Sailing Federation: http://www.slsailing.org/forum/index.phpOh, and complete with a massive 42+ sim sailing community. Tons of buyable racewind compat sailboats, docks to rent, etc. That's just the corner of the world where I spend my time. This kinda highlights that there are massive active communities out there with tons to do, tons to buy, skills to learn, etc.
