A true account of someone who's clueless.
My question is:
Do you think this publicity is gonna help or hurt LL, when the grid is so unstable and several MAJOR bugs are in the play?

Doesn't seem particularly clueless to me... there are some pretty clueless comments, though.

Interesting article. It was fun browsing through some of the comments.
You know what they say... no publicity is bad publicity. |

Other than one sentence about "flying around Linden" it didn't seem clueless at all.
I have a feeling LL's marketing is in overdrive right now, with all the attention it's getting. _____________________

I just think that several comments aren't up to par, like throwing the resident numbers up, without mentioning active users. Little things like that.
As for creators selling SL games to RL, I'm aware of only 1. And that was Tringo I believe... is there more than that? I just find it dumb to read an article about a game where the person hasn't even PLAYED the game, let alone report on it. I know this was a blog, but it was a front page blog for Yahoo.com, which is how my attention was brought to it. It really does make me wonder how many of those people are reading thinking, "HEY! THAT'S ALOT OF MONEY!" and I'll go in and make all this money, blah blah. |

Not as Good as some articles i have read, Better than others where the writer pontificates about us while demonstrating with his Lack of Knowledge that he has never actually been In Game.
Any of these articles will be a Boost for SL. Posative ones Attract people, Negative ones Attract Curious people who want to see what all the Fuss is about, So, either way, It helps. "The only thing worse than being Talked about, is Not being Talked about." Oscar Wilde. Angel. |
