So the blog says that they are restaritng al mainland sims to make the fix for losing no copy inventory. But private regeons are up to the sim owners to hand restart?!?!?

Why would such an IMPORTANT fix be left to chance? How many sims are going to go unfixed for days or weeks now?

Can they mean you can restart it now before they FORCE restart it later?

Course can't ask them directly because comments are closed as ususal :(

They'll restart either way, they just have the option to get the fix "early":

From: someone
Private Region owners and Estate Managers can feel free to restart their own region(s) for this resolution to take effect sooner. Mainland regions and private estates (even those which were restarted earlier) will be restarted over the next few hours to resolve this issue.

Mmmm, I'm pretty sure that additional text wasn't there when I looked!

Weird, that's like... not what I remember reading earlier. heh

I restarted one sim but some odd change in voice behavior also came in with the restart. I'll let LL restart my other ones and see what happens...

Edit: Ok, so I'm not the only one that seems to remember a different history with that post :D

It's kinda scarey... its almost like they are starting to listen to us now ;)

* Blog posts about the inventory bug, with progress reports

* Big red letter warning for a while

* Warning on the login screen

* Altering blog post to clarify a point

* Fixing the inventory bug (can it be true?)

After a full month and 3,443,433 complaints they snapped right to it.

They still need to fix their in world notification system though. I'm sure many many people who either don't or can't read the forums lost a few things today thinking the rezzing issues had been resolved.

*wishes people would slow down and read things*

it said estate managers can restart before Linden Labs gets round to restarting the estate sims if they want and that they are restarting the mainland sims NOW and after that will restart all the estate sims as well. They are simply giving estate owners the option to restart before they come up in the qeue as an option nothing more.
