Hello, everyone --
I'm very sorry if this is a standard newbie question (I am a newbie), but I did search beforehand and couldn't find any relevant answers. My question is this: when -- does anyone know -- will there be First Land available? I've been searching for three or four days now and there's nothing. The FAQs and other available documentations just tell me who can buy First Land and how, but make no mention about there being no land at all...
Thanks in advance!

First Land comes up on a frequent, but irregular basis. I don't think even LL knows exactly 'when' it will go up.
Added to that is the high demand for it. When it does go up, it is gone very very very quickly.
Your best bet is to do as you have been. Be ready to move on it on a moments notice and continue to look for it. The good news is this quick happenstances work as well for that firt resale back into the market. First Land is usually sold 5 or 6 times in less than 5 minutes of it's first sale.
Make sure you adjust the PRICE of the land when you go to resale. I know many that lost that ability to turn a profit off of First Land by reselling it for the 1L$ per meter they bought it for.
Good Luck

First Land is always priced at $L512 and is purchased directly from Linden. Once you purchase any property on the mainland, be it First Land or not you can not go back and buy First Land. I don't get seriously into real estate but I always like to watch what is out there for sale and have not seen any First Land out there for a week or so. I would think it is due. Like Jessica said it comes up on an irregular basis and the best you can do is keep a close eye on the land sale searches. I have seen whole First Land sims pretty much sell out in less than 24 hours.

I just went out and bought land - I couldn't find anything suitable and desperately needed some place to call my own here instead of "waking up" in other people's backyards (lol) so I suggest you bite the bullet and just purchase. It makes SL a better place for you! But prices are high so pick and choose with care!

I was very lucky to find some real First Land about 5 days ago. It is on the very south extreme edge of the world, staring out into the void - just my style.
But I've been keeping an eye out for more First Land for a friend since then, and haven't seen any at all.

Hi, being new to this brings me also in this "first land" question.
After finding out that there is a first land program in the first place (encouraging concept), I got quite low to actually find out that it's a matter of luck.
Assuming a newbie like me doesn't have time to constantly look around or the bandwidth to quickly decide considering all factors (buying a land facing a wall with a ugly drawing or buying a big hidden hole - lol) what are the options to buy a decent 512 land ? I scooped around looking for options within the 1.5k price but that did not get me anywhere.
Is there a real real estate business in SL that can take care of the needs for land of newbies like me at a fair price? (kinda like a first land initiative, probably more expensive but with the small advantage to actually work and deliver results when searching)

From: Weary Ida Hi, being new to this brings me also in this "first land" question.
After finding out that there is a first land program in the first place (encouraging concept), I got quite low to actually find out that it's a matter of luck. It's really not a matter of luck and I'd put off buying normally priced land if you can. If you saw a 512m2 parcel for 1.5k in the land sales list, it was probably on a private sim, which means you'd have to pay monthly tier to the owner. Mainland 512m2 parcels are more realistically priced at L$3250 minimum (and you only need a premium account for those), so think of the profit you can make if you retain the First Land (priced at L$512) option. Sims full of first land will come up now and then. It's simply a matter of logging in once or twice a day to see if they appeared yet. Also bear in mind that searching for land thesedays is a pain because the Land Sales search engine is laggy (you sometimes have to wait two minutes for the majority of the results to even appear) and load time of the map is just plain ridiculous. It never used to be like that. Tip: Keep an eye on these sims, because they're where bulks of First Land parcels are most likely to appear soon: Snow sims: Asunder, Larsson, Porvoo, Hardangerfjord, Flo, Kuusamo, Orivesi, Sognefjord, Schism, Kaunis Green/coastal sims: Pueulla, Ahnpagyun, Kyeryong The last three are on the southern continent, where you'll see lots of unnamed sims have recently been added to the south and west. Many of those are likely to end up first land sims too.
