I'd like to generate a $L income stream. Unfortunately I'm far too lazy and talentless to actually learn how to do something in this game that a thousand people aren't already doing much better.
I've heard that there are vending machines that you can set up that do a 90/10 split with the creator, but I can't seem to find any. Do such things actually exist and does anyone know a listing/directory of them somewhere?
Thanks in advance.

I've heard of such a thing. I can't quite remember the name of the designer (thinking maybe Dazzle) that let people lease their designs for a split of some kind. Sorry I cant be more sure, but it does happen.

Thanks in advance. I liked the ones from Money Machines the best. People would put $20 a peice in them sometimes trying to get posters shown on the vending machine. You don't have to split the money with anyone either. I have some from Second Light that sell roller skates and vendors right now. You get 20% of the profits, and the items are a few hundread dollars each.

Some content creators off a commision for reselling of their items. A few I can think of offhand are Vindi Vindaloo, Timeless Prototype (multigadget), and Bill Sterling homes I'm sure with some in game research, you can probably find more.

I believe Moopf Murray makes such things, vendors that if you put on your land they will split profit.

Thanks for the tip, Angel, but clearly you have never seen me. I said I wanted to create some income, not scare people out of the bar!

Your options are:
Become a talented SL entrepaneur (building, scripting, SL valued skills, etc) *Become a freelance salesman (selling other people's items) Become an employee (work at a club or for someone hiring) Play the land & money market (takes money & risk to make money) Do the newbie enticers (camping chairs, group games with cash prizes, money trees)
*There are options on doing this. You could either buy items you find in stores then upcharge in your own showroom. Or you can strike deals with content creators...usually a commission relationship. It is fairly simple for a creator to set up a vendor where they have their items in it and you find ways to sell them, and each sale gives you an automatic percentage. Another option is a deal where you buy items in bulk (wholesale) at a lower price, then sell at retail.
