I am going to answer a question before it gets asked.

I find this to be super common.. you want to teleport someone to come look at something but do not know how without adding them to your friend list.

Here are 2 very easy ways, besides sending them a landmark.

1: Send them a link for a instant direct teleport:

here is a example of what you send them in IM:

secondlife:///app/teleport/ParrotHead%20Cove/128/128/25/

just replace the Region name and the coordinates with those that you want your party to arrive. They then can simply click on the link that you sent them and will instantly and magically appear at that location. for Spaces in the Region Name use the %20 otherwise there are no spaces. (example taken from LSL wiki - it is not my house or my store - maybe it is a Linden's)

2: Turn on the View Admin Options in Advanced Menu

Once you are in Advanced Options (ALT CTRL D) and then Turning on the view Admin options in advanced menu via CTrl ALT V will bypass the need for someone to be on your friend list for a Teleport Request. Once the advanced menu is turned on, you simply reopen the person's profile and the offer Teleport button will be available. ( there may be instances where this might not work, but it works for me every single time)

I think the advanced menu is enabled (or disabled) by ctrl-alt-d. In there is View Admin Options (or something like that) which lets you TP anybody.

Or does ctrl-alt-v enable both the advanced menu and admin options?

I believe it does both at one time. It is the only way that I ever use it. I will edit the original Post just in case. Thanks

I just tried it out: ctl-alt-v does NOT do both. ctl-alt-v doesnt seem to work if the advanced menu isn't present, so you have to ctl-alt-d before you ctl-alt-v. :)

edit: well, I cannot get the teleport button to appear, anyway. Other functions might be allowed.

Some people you can TP from there profile and others you cannot. (unless they are on your contacts list) It all depends on what they choose in their preferences.
I find the easiest way to TP someon that I can't TP from their profile is to open up the map and "copy SLURL to clipboard" and then paste it to them in an IM.

One can make a landmark and drop it on the person's profile.

you can also open your map, select "copy slurl to clipboard" and then paste it in chat
*if the map is pointing to a location, you will have to select "clear" first, to reset the coords to your location.
