I was wondering how to take pictures, a lot of the time I can't even come close to see what others are like. I want them to be really good quality.

Batao, thank you so much for asking this question, because...
Fade, thank you so much for posting that URL. I learned so much! Definitely saving that to share with others. BTW, do you know where Torley was at the beginning of that video? That was SUCH a beautiful place! I hope someone knows, and that it's a public area. I'd love to visit it. I also found out that I really like Torley, based on the fun way that was done. I can still hear the chant "shortcuts make the difference", lol. Thanks again. |

I'm not totally sure, but it looks to me like it's the Lost Gardens of Apollo-- indeed, a really beautiful place. The sim name is Apollo. Fun video-- very cool to hear Torley's actual voice. I like the way it was done, very chatty and funny, but still informative. Exactly matches Torley's av. ![]() _____________________

Wow that video was way more helpful then I expected, I am taking great shows now!!
My next question: what size can I upload images at? Or how can I set what size I want it to upload to? On my laptop I was taking shots and they look good in widescreen, but 512x512 like I've been doing makes the uploaded image look bad. |

On my laptop I was taking shots and they look good in widescreen, but 512x512 like I've been doing makes the uploaded image look bad. 128, 256, 512, 1024, etc... ..... you can techincally "upload" a texture at any dimension you want... but SL will compress (or expand) the image to make each side fit into that above number string.. upload an image 200x550 pixels.. it's going to end likely end up 256x512 in SL... as a footnote ~~ Usually even if something uploads weird.. if you change the shape of the object =or= play with the options under the Texture tab (adjusting how many times the texture repeats and it's position and stuff) you can usually make a weird looking texture look fine.. or correct. |
