I just started second life with a basic account bought $25 usd and now when I try to buy lindens with it, it says I have gone over my limit. I am sorry if this question has been asked. I was going to write a ticket but apparently since I'm a basic account holder they will just ignore my ticket. It's the weekend and I can't call the billing support number so am I screwed and have to wait till Monday to use the money I put in already? I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer me

How many Lindens are you trying to buy? The trade limits will let you put up to 25USD on your account the first day, but you can only spend 10 of it on Lindens until your limits increase.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

The current limit is laughable. I remember that I had a $600 limit when I joined, and I managed to max it out too. So many things to buy in the first days... land, house, vehicles, clothes galore... if I couldn't have bought all I needed, I'm not sure if I had stayed.

They may have to check out your credit card first, to make sure it's legit. Just wait a while. Mine took about 8 hours.

If you have a look in your account, and go to billing and trading limits (on the left hand side)
It will come up with a page of all sorts of information.
If you scroll down just a little you will come across a box called resident monthly limits.
It is grey in colour, and there should be a blue highlighted box over which catagory you fall into. For example, if you are 0-1 days old (new) your trading limit is $25 to purchase.
Once you are 2-13 days old your limit goes to $125 and so on
Then you go into levels, and there are 2, one has a limit of $2,500 and the other $10,000.

Also when it says "Days" it is refering to days since first billing transaction with Linden Lab.

I hope that helps you in being able to know how to find what your purchase limit is
