Hi there!
I've been playing with ASCII codes for the last hour trying to figure out how to make those little hearts I see on some people's tags. I could make them in Word, but when I tried to c/p into SL, it didn't work. Nor could I use the ASCII code for the heart in SL.
Any ideas? Thanks so much!!!

If you go into Microsoft Word, click Insert, Symbol and have a look at the symbols in the box that appears, It will give you the Alt + ... code for each symbol. These work in most places I have seen,
Alt and 3 is the heart. _____________________

 Those do indeed give me the desired heart - for some reason when I try the Alt + 3 in SL...it looks like a tiny lil speck.Oooo...love all those different variations, Ray Thanks!_____________________

I've used it in SL before. you have to do them one at a time. make sure you release the Alt key before you press 3 again or you end up with Alt + 33 whch is an exclamation mark.

Copy and paste has always worked for me..
However.... as a hint ..... if you see symbols in a gesture in chat you can also copy the chat line into a notecard and copy and paste from there  . _____________________
