Unable to connect to Second Life.
DNS could not resolve the host name.
Please verify that you can connect to the www.secondlife.com website. If you can, but continue to receive this error, please go to the support section and report this problem.
Has anyone else gotten this? I can connect the the website just fine. I'l appreciate any knowledge or input anyone can offer into this problem. I will report it as a problem, but with Linden that can take weeks to be addressed sometimes.

So maybe this is different than what happen to me last night and i am not home so cannot attempt now- question - do we maybe all have the same provider in common?
I have ATT - how about u guys? Cause ATT told me last night that their servers were down and i could not access the web other than ym and g-talk. |

I resolved it by having a friend that had internet access get me a couple of public use DNS addresses that I plugged into my network settings on my computer and was online right away. AT&T lost DNS servers a month or two back, also, for like 2 days straight. I was unimpressed. |

Try an other DNS server. I had the same problem. I use now: 1e 208.67.222.222 and 2e 208.67.220.220 This one is faster and generates no time outs to me any more.
