Very rarely have I crashed in SL until I downloaded 1.17.1...and now in 12 hours, I have crashed at least 5 times.

OMG...I am so glad I wandered in here today. I downloaded this evil thing last night, and crashed every time I went to edit something. I thought it was me. I ran my adaware, virus scan, and removed the program to reinstall.

Does nothing stabilize it?

I guess the next question is... is anyone having crash issues or instability MORE than normal when NOT editing things? How is it when you aren't building/editing I mean?

Besides the edit crashes it seems very stable and usable but I'm a builder..... I have to edit and usually editing something 90% of the time I'm in SL

I get a BSOD either when I try to log in or after I actually log in but then try to do anything, include move.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Yep..I always waited until they stopped being optional. I'm quite happy with Nicholaz 17d viewerfor now.

Since this is an optional viewer for the main grid why wasn't it given a through test on the main grid before being released? Edit is such a commonly used function it should have been discovered very quickly with even a small amount of testing.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

It's a showcase for the "see... the next time we break things, you can just use the previous viewer!"? :p

It seems 1.17.1 has pretty much all the bug fixes for 1.18, so probably they wanted to test those out on the rats in the maze (aka residents) before going forward and releasing 1.18 which has the network protocol changes.
