My No. 1 problem in sl

We have all done it, I'm sure.

You are dancing, or just sitting down, and you decide to tp somewhere else. But you forget to stop dancing or stand up before tping. You arrive at the other end still dancing, or still sitting, and nothing, but nothing, seems to get you normal and upright. The Stop all Animations doesn't work (what the hell is it for then?), and the only way I have found is to log out and back in again.

There MUST be a way to overcome this, isn't there? Please people?

Love to all

That problem has never been fixed...

It may be you number 1 problem now... but spend a bit of time in SL, very soon it'll be the least of your worries

enter 'appearance' and out again .. and,
dance somewhere else, then stop?

If I remember well.... (and yes, I have been there too :P)... just activate the dance or pose again and stop it you normally would. Should work too.

There is an object you can carry in your inventory called "stop all animations". So when this happens to you, you just rez it, click on it, and your avatar stops whatever animation you were doing. Then you pick it up again and put it away for next time.

If you want to IM me in world, I'd be happy to send you one.

Usually it's enough to rez a plywood box, sit on it and stand up again.

Always funny when this feature occurs with bondage poses...

The Stop All Animations menu option doesn't work in no script areas I believe, just like the Stop All Animations attachment somebody is offering you. Find a place where scripts can be executed (the Achilles statue behind Waterhead...the tramline behind Ahern... are useful to know about if they're your home locations), tp there and try to stop the animations again.

Believe it or not though, it becomes instinctive to stop dancing or to stand-up prior to teleporting.

All this is good. If all else fails, you can pick up the free "Stop All Animations" object at Reverie Virtual Systems (just search "Reverie";).

I have a scripted prim that stops animations. I was unaware that there was anything in the Tools menu, as nimrod mentions. I have never even seen a tools menu.

Anyone who wants the Stop Animations prim, IM me.

Have you tried it nimrod? I was surprised to find a _menu_ option (of all things) not working in no script areas initially, but then discovered Tools > Stop All Anims didn't work in some script enabled areas either. I could never figure out what unique set of variables made it functional now and then.

Or maybe it was fixed in a recent update?

Weird. It works for me, but a few times people said they still could see me in the animation. Not sure what's up with it, I figured it worked since it was implemented... yet another broken thing. :D
