Here's the problem; My girlfriend, Mia, tried to buy some Linden. It denied her, so she thought she'd just re-enter her payment info, this has happened before. Anyway, when she went to enter in her payment info, it failed it. So we tried entering in my credit info, and it also failed.

The real issue is tomorrow fees come out, for her prem and land fees. She has no payment info in, and it's failing. Anyone else having this problem?? I'm going to file a ticket on it, but she's concerned they'll suspend her account if she can't pay, or reclaim the land, but the message it keeps giving us is "Failed due to server." So that's on their side, right?

I think you ll have a month to clear it up with the failed payment.i would try to contact a livechat helper for billing issues.ticket doesnt help really and it takes too much time. Live chat for billing issues you ll find through solution finder at step 4.

good luck

Okay, I've never contacted a live helper before, so exactly where do I find this?

Apparantly she can't log onto the site now either, and is scared to log off the game, heh... So she can't get on the forums either.

There is a page in the KB about credit cards failing, but all their suggestions are about problems on your side. They did give the billing number though:

From: someone
You can also call our Billing team at the following numbers:

800-294-1067 toll-free (US/Canada)
703-286-6277 long-distance (not free)

The Billing team is available 9AM - 6PM PST, Monday-Friday.

It is often said that getting them on the phone is difficult, and you need to keep trying.

I'll keep looking to see if I can get you a link to the Billing live chat, in case you are outside the U.S.

To get to live chat (M-F, 9am-6pm PDT):

1) Log on to the support portal

2) Select the Solution Finder

3) Select a category (like Credit card issue)

4) Under "View Popular Topics", click "My answer is not here" (I already checked the "Credit card failed" article, which doesn't seem to answer your question.

5) Under Search, enter a word and search it (like "credit";)

6) On the search results page, click "My answer is not here"

7) You will now be given the option to submit a ticket, or to use Live Chat. Select "Billing Live Chat".

---

As you have to wait until tomorrow morning anyway, you might as well start by calling the credit card company. That doesn't sound like the problem in this case (unless you use the same credit card company), but checking with them only takes about five minutes. Ask them if they received the charge from SL or LL, and if so, if they approved or rejected it.

Okay, well... We'll try that, but it's at a bad time for us, lol. Our solution is going to be her selling me the land and downgrading to basic. That said, we'll have some prime beachfront for sale soon :P

Sucks, but... Ahh well. We'll figure it out I guess. It's just weird that it keeps saying "Not Authorized" when we enter in billing info, and click submit.

"Not Authorized"? That would be your credit card company rejecting the charge, and you need to contact them about it.

I thought you said the error message was "Failed due to server". Was that for something else?

It was both, first failed due to server, then not authorized. But we tried it with hers, and mine, and mine works just fine with my account. I even tested buying Linden, and it worked just fine. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.

LL may have tried to put the charge through oddly- due to the server screw up, and after several attempts to auth the card, your CC has probably put a stop on payments. Now the problem is two fold.

Call up the CC company and make sure they understand that there's no fraud (Thank god my company actually calls me when there's suspected fraud, it cuts out the work from my end) and clear the charges... then contact LL and see if you can get the payment put in correctly one more time.

Yeah, that was basically the jiff of what happened. She's getting it fixed now, and should be all back to normal in the morning sometime. Dunno why it didn't work the first time, but it was probably just a server issue or something, nothing major I don't think.
