HELP!!! Crashing

Ever since the update, i log on and play...everything looks fine.

Problem: i will be im'ing someone or doing something...everything looks ok, the im'ing stops on the other end. My mini map turns red and then I'm kicked off. This is happening alot since the update. Anyone have any ideas?

i think each update uses more memory to run the game. you may have to tweak your computer a little.

In the last few days I've been having so many problems. Things take ages to load, and my avatar is constantly stuck in an animation, walking forever over an ocean.

I'm reading everything I can, but I'm confused....and frustrated.

I'm also having similar problems, I'd thought I'd tracked it down to a poor wireless connection and fixed it by hardwiring to it. That's made things better, but not back to normal.

Now I will suddenly get Sim Ping of 1000 ms while my User Ping stays around 120 ms, things happen around me, and I can see things moving, but I am completely stuck.

It's not good, I've now spend 3 days trying to track down the problem using the knowledge and support system, but with no luck. I have no where else to turn to... the live chat support doesn't seem to exist (unless you know the secret password) and the problem is as yet too vague to try and post on Jira (not that I really understand how Jira works)

I can kinda help with your Live Chat issue. First, you have to be a premium account.. then you have to go to the support portal and use the Solution Finder. That means the button under the 'We had to change passwords,' click it and THEN search within that to find an answer. Select, "my answer is not here," until you get the option to either submit a ticket or Live Chat.

Try logging into a different sim, preferably one like Pooley, to see if it's related to the sim you were in or if it's related to YOU. They'll probably advise you to do this anyways, and to make sure your video drivers are up to date. If you are an ATI user, you may not want to use the latest, because it caused my viewer to crash upon logging out. Go figure.

It's definately me, the same thing happens wherever I am in SL. although more in some places than in others.

I'll check video card again before I hound down the live chat option, although I always keep it up to date to run LOTRO (don't have the same problems with running that btw)

SL has been "Red Maping" ever since I started playing and I'm sure has been for a while. You'll just have to deal with it until LL gets a fix.

I was going nuts crashing all the time since some point during 1.15. I started using his viewer 2 days ago and haven't crashed one time since.

For some reason there is a major memory leak in the SL Viewer -- that SL is aware of and still hasn't fixed.

What do you have for memory on your computer? (how much)

The minimum specs that the SL website says is not enough. You should have at minimum, 1 gb of RAM
