Hello! The other night a friend of mine IM'd me that my place of repose on the roof in the sim where I live, Caledon Tam, looked positively slothful: http://hiberniaskids.blogspot.com/2007/04/militia-duty-and-new-uniforms.html. I IM'd back asking: "How in the world would you know, you're not anywhere near me?" She replied that it was simple, she just disconnected her camera controls and she could discern me, several sims away! That had me a wee bit flabbergasted, as it would appear that there really is NO privacy anywhere in SL!!

Naturally, I asked her how it was done. Naturally, she told me. And that's where I discovered a problem. Her instructions reference a CLIENT menu in the Second Life client. The most current client I have has no client menu! Is this on purpose, or did I download a bum Second Life build?

Thank you in advance for your kind consideration,

Hotspur

why would you expect privacy on a online game anyway?

if you want privacy log off :)

Oh, sure, you want your avatar right out there for the world to see.. doing everything and anything that avatars can do.

Thanks for the assist, everyone! Glad to hear it's so easy to fix.
