Buy $Lindens Borked?

Been trying for two days to buy some $L.

No go via the client or the website.

Is there some other way to pay with a CC
to get some $L injected to game?

Try buying Linden dollars from one of the other currency exchanges. For example, slexchange.com

Yes I tried slexchange.com, says I paid 17K successfully...but nothing happened
to my balance. I guess I'll know later whether something happened to my credit
card.

Have never had a problem until yesterday...are people able to buy Lindens
via the client right now?

SLexchange.com has a help interface which allows you to submit a support ticket to find out why you didn't get your Linden dollars. Is there a delay in delivery that's mentioned in the fine print?

The forums has a search feature which allows you to search the forums and read all the threads on this particular topic (it comes up a lot) and see all the possible solutions. For example, slexchange.com didn't do it? Try anshechung.com. Anshechung.com didn't do it and you only have e-Gold? Try ecurrenz.com. There's tons of currency exchanges. You can even search for them in-world using Search > Places.

I was unable to buy L's for the last three weeks trying to use my Paypal account. The LL blog claimed the Paypal issues were fixed however I still was unable to buy. Under the instruction of another forum member here I deleted my Paypal info and replaced it with CC info and my $L's purchase went through fine....

In your case, since you've said SLEX has shown a purchase.... I wouldn't do anything else until you can verify that. I never even made it that far.... and I read in another thread there can be a couple day delay before SLEX posts your $L's.

I think you need to go look at the SLExchange site and move the Lindens around so they go to you avi - I did this when it had problems last week or whenever that was and it was not automatic.

Thanks Elex. I kept at it at SLExchange and was able to buy some $L which
were delivered in-world. I had a bit of learning to do...but got it now.

Still...it was a lot easier via the SL client or the SL website.

I've been trying to purchase lindens unsuccessfully for two hours. It's not a problem if Linden labs are having some problems although I haven't seen anything on their blog. The problem is, each time I click on buy now, I get a dollar charge on my cc. I am now less $10.00 US because the credit card is charged $1.00 each time I try to put a transaction through and still no lindens I know the money is in my acct but I keep getting an error: transaction unsuccessful try again. Not to mention, the $1.00 per transaction wont' be refunded to my acct for a few days. So now, I don't know when I'm going to get a successful transaction with out being charged another dollar on my cc.

The $1 is an authorization, not a charge. It shouldn't be a problem unless your credit card is almost completely maxxed out. (And if your card is that maxxed out, it's probably not a good choice to use as your payment method.)

For everyone with problems purchasing or billing using your credit card: Try re-entering your credit card information. It only takes a minute, and it has fixed the problem for many people.

Also, I see that the problem with screen freezes, not being able to move in game, and the friends online is borked again. Anyone else having friends showing Offline when they are actually ONline??????

If you use SLX, remember you have to withdraw your funds from an in-world terminal before they'll show up as part of your balance.

ok just tried to buy from sl exchange says pending so now what? and what ya mean withdraw funds from terminal?

You make a USD purchase, then use that to make a Linden purchase. Once that's approved, you go in-world, find a terminal (several will come up in search, but I usually go to their headquarters), click the terminal for an instruction card and do what it tells you. I believe the command is 'withdraw' plus the amount, typed in the chatbar.

you can also choose the option on the slexchange website in your account options, to transfer the money to your avatar but you need to be logged in world to get them

Hmmm, now there's something I was unaware of...

yep it is called withdraw right under the balance of your linden dollars on the little account profile info to the left...

I don't know about buying Lindens from SL Exchange, but when I withdraw Lindens from my sales, I do not have to be in world for them to be credited to my account.
