There doesn't seem to be a facial expression supplied with both eyes shut, for sleeping poses and the like. Isn't that a bit of an oversight?

From: Brenda Connolly Look , Mandy..... It's my view that wordplay really gives us a glimpse at our wit, but not enough to allow for anypone to peer at it with any depth. See? Mari (Who wishes there was a both eyes shut)

1. How do you you know your eyes don't shut when you log out?
2. If your eyes were to be shown as closed, wouldn't the camera go dark?

Mari (Who wishes there was a both eyes shut) Only Lindens can have both eyes shut. How long do you think before they try to Ban wordplay?

From: Brenda Connolly How long do you think before they try to Ban wordplay? Wordplay is allowed. It is sexual wordplay that's the problem. Avoid conjunctions and you'll be fine. Also, don't dangle any participles where anyone might see them. Mari

Mari I'm more concerned with splitting infinitives. Some people don't take well to that sort of thing.

Mari Your avatar is too young for such cunning linguistics. (okay....that was bad, lol) More to the point.... I have seen my eyes wide shut in a gesture that looks more like "think-what-you-want-but-I-know-I'm-right" than sleep. It's part of an auto-emote hud made by..... Oija Banjo (?).... I'll have to check the creator's name. So the gesture is possible.

From: Daisy Rimbaud There doesn't seem to be a facial expression supplied with both eyes shut, for sleeping poses and the like. Isn't that a bit of an oversight? Built-in SL expressions with closed eyes are express_disdain, express_laugh_emote, express_kiss and express_cry_emote. Alas, LL didn't include a facial expression with a relaxed, natural face and closed eyes. I'd say, express_disdain is the animation that comes closest to the expression of a sleeping person. To use this expression, you can copy the script below and paste it into any prim. Attach the prim to your body or HUD, and the facial animation will play as long as you wear it. default { on_rez(integer doesntmatterhere) { llRequestPermissions(llGetOwner(), PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION); llSetTimerEvent(0.5); } timer() { llStartAnimation("express_disdain" ; } } /Edit: there's also a freebie called "Yadni's Emoter HUD", which can be used for the same purpose. I'll send you a copy inworld. Although it runs on a 1 second timer, so the animations are often interrupted by the standard expression.

Two parts of the eye were discussing who told better puns. Their debate raged on, till one said to the other, "You, my friend, are simply the pupil. I am by far the cornea of the two of us
