I am working on retwxturing a large commercial building. It has gone through several changes and now the colors are acting weird. We put down pink tile yesterday and now it looks blue! Also, some portions of the building appear much darker than others. Any clue what this could be? Is the building sick? Is it having trouble remembering what it is supposed to look like? Any cklues on this would be appreciated.

You will get better advice from more experienced builders after me, but one thing I would check is the shine tab in the edit menu. That could make some parts look darker than others if some have shine and others don't. It is in the Texture tab under shininess and there are several settings. It makes things appear darker if they have more shine. Could that be the problem on the outside of the building?
Other thoughts??

Some walls will appear darker/lighter because of the direction of the light source, and this will change with the time of day. In other words, some will be on the shadow side... You can make them full bright so they are lit up all the time to avoid this.

Check the following:
-That none of the prims are Colored (Edit > Texture > Color (should be pure white) ) -Shiny is turned off for all prims -Bumpiness is turned off for all prims
Hope that helps!

One quick question: Are you the only one that sees the issue or is it everyone around you?
Also, the 'daytime' color changes are usually a pink/peach shade on white, rarely much else, but as another suggested, full bright stops that. I don't think that really weird blue color is part of it, though.
Shiny items do the odd metallic blue color though. Definitely check that out.

Also check to make sure that either all sections are set to 'full bright' (a check box in the texture edit tab) or not. If different sections are set to full bright and not full bright, your building will have splotchy bits, even going to far as to look like a completely different color.

Are there lighted prims in the build? Light sources could definately cause what you are talking about and will change depending on where in the building you are, dependant on the brightness and die off of the light, as well as your light settings in the client.
