Take a look at the PayPal website.

PayPal has been around for a while, and from my limited experience, is a secure service for transferring money. In fact, you are always better off using PayPal in conjunction with a bank account instead of a credit card, where possible. Credit card companies siphon your money with all kinds of hidden fees you never knew about (because they never told you).

Capitalization is your friend.

You have two choices when wanting to withdraw a US$ balance: PayPal or Cheque.

LL charges $1 to process via PayPal and there is no minimum.
LL charges $10 to process a cheque and there is a $250 minimum. ($15/$100 for international)

PayPay is as safe as things get in the internet. I prefer it over supplying a credit card number to some stranger. Once you get it into your PayPal account you can then withdraw it to a bank account. Check the PayPal site for fees, mine may be different than yours.

The downside to Paypal with SL is the delay. Search the forums here and you'll find that the whole SL to Paypal thing tends to take the maximum amount of time (5 days?). I don't know if it is SL, or PayPal treating SL as a risky source, but it seems that you'll have to wait for your funds with PayPal.

Granted, this may not be a problem for you, but it has caught some people unaware.

PayPal is still faster than waiting for LL to cut a cheque and mailing it.
