Does anyone know why it is that some plots of land for sale offer double prims, but the majority have a set number? I'm looking to buy some land, but the prim limit is a real problem, as everyone knows. I just dont get why some plots can be sold as double prims for the same amount of land, and others dont. Basically, is the realtor responsible for this? COuld i negotiate with them for more prims for more money maybe? I'd ask them, but theyre always offline when im on. Cheers all, Mand

Its up to the land owner how many prims to offer, and there is really no set price per prim.
If you need extra prims then by all means ask and negotiate.
as for them being offline, just leave a detailed IM or better still a Notecard, and most likely youll get your answer alot faster.
(there is a lot more to it, but thats the simple answer)

they "borrow prims from other areas such as parks and stuff basically if they offer double prims half the island is useing a lot less prims then they are allocated so they give thoswe to the other property
cant be done on mainland as far as i know

mand you can accomplish the same thing on mainland by picking up 'primland'. primland is land somewhere else on the sim that you dont build on, yet the prims from it are automatically added to your allotment. a tiny 16m adplot gives 3 prims. if you join two together you get 7 prims, and so on. turn on property lines and look around linden roads and obvious adfarms and you can often find 16m plots for less than $150 each ($9/m2). if you are on a new sim keep an eye out for an adfarm or a waiting adgrid and snap up the cheap ones right quick.
