Hi Folks,
I would like your feedback and help on the following idea. I've been thinking of creating a download package that contains the free community tools and other items that are available for the SL Community. Although SL has links to most these tools, there are other community websites that make things and may not advertise it in the offical website. As these items are scattered all over the internet, this will be collecting them into one big package.
There will be 3 packages for each of the different operating systems: Windows, Mac, and Linux. The packages will contain free software tools, templates, textures, etc. This will cover most things like Scupltie Tools, LSL Editors, Animation Tools, Utilities, Templates, etc.
Do you think this would be a good idea?
Do you know of websites that has a tool that you use or seen, but is not general known about?
Your feedback and help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I think it is a great idea! I have spent countless hours searching for stuff like this and it's really is annoying to find programs for two comps running two different OS.

You would have to get permission from each site you take the things to add to your download even if the items are free. A high percentage would get very annoyed having their items for download on someone else's site.

While I love the idea of the convenience, I suspect most people created this freeware to drive traffic to their sites. It may be a better idea to compile a list of useful links to downloads, and that wouldn't require permission.
