Among the many problems I am having with SL this one is the most irritating. I unlinked a wall and tried to make it smaller and the changes snap back to the original setting. No it is not a megaprim.
Another irritating problem is when I am in edit near my grotto and choose to edit any of the pieces a white round fog area appears maybe 10 meters around the object. I cant even see the darn thing to edit it. Has this happened to anyone? Ive been playing with my graphic settings but it was doing this before

I've had the same problem with settings not changing..... usually it turns out that I don't have modify rights... your prim might have reverted to this when you unlinked. Other than that, somewhat stuck on why....
the white cloud effect is probably because the prim is set to be a light source....what you're seeing is the "light" that's being emitted. Uncheck the Light box (in the texture tab I think - not in-world at the moment to check) and it should be OK. Have you tried using your camera controls to swing your point of view into the cloud so you can right-click/edit?

to getrid of the white cloud effect, go to your tools menu and disable 'show light radius'. From: CarolRae Pidgeon Among the many problems I am having with SL this one is the most irritating.
