How do I get a new club listed in search

Can someone help a noob?? I just opened a club, I want it listed in the "all" or "places" tab of search. I created a group listing but only shows up in the groups. Please help, Thanx bunches~~Brianne

You need to do an 'about land' while you're on that parcel. I think it's the options tab (I'm not logged in right now) and then you check the List in Search box. This will cost you L$ 30/week for each parcel, which will automatically debit from your account. You can also run a classified ad, which costs as much as you want it to (the more you pay, the higher you show up on the lists.)

Also make sure you include "Keywords" in your description.

Search up some other clubs ta see what I mean, Irie Vibes is a good example.

For example if your club is named... "Elite's Rock Room" (sic)... you would wanna include

<Insert short description here> Keywords: elite elites sploder dance rock club

Or somethin like that. Otherwise if they just Search "Elite's" it probably won't come up, or if they Search "Elites" (bad spellin) it won't. SL Search engine has been picky like that, EVEN NOW.

When I had Jester's Fun House, I had to use: jester jesters AND Jester's

Folks kept tellin me it wouldn't come up, lazy bastards

Listing it is only the fist step, one things you're going to find out pretty quickly is that as a brand new club you're bottom of the pile. But, as you get more people visiting your club you'll climb up, which in turn will bring more people in.

There are things you can do to help drive traffic into your club...

Pick a theme, something people might like but don't have already.

Host events, but if you're running a club I guess that kinda goes without saying. There's a forum for events, take a look and see if you can steal some ideas.

Post a classified ad. Classifides cost money to post, the more you spend the higher up in the search results you'll be. The upside of that is you can chose where you are in the list if you're willing to spend the money.

NP Brianne...one more thing:

Make a Group for "V.I.P.s" or whatever you wanna call it...people who frequent the club.

That way, when you have an Event, not only can you post it in advance for free in the Events list, but you can send out the Notice to your Group too.

The friendly regulars come back and fill the club up on a more steady basis in addition to other visitors, and folks who just stop by for a costume parties, contests, or whatever thier favorite kinda Event is. Good luck.
